Our Story

In May 2023, BSG Design marked a significant milestone – our 10th anniversary in business. What began as a humble venture by brothers Barry and Stephen Goulding, crafting kitchens and wardrobes for private homes from a shed behind their parents’ house, has grown into a thriving company recognized for its exceptional bespoke joinery.

Barry’s love of furniture design led him to Atlantic Technological University in Letterfrack, Ireland’s only third-level institution focused on Furniture Design, Manufacturing, and Technologies. There, he honed his skills in Furniture Design and Manufacture. Meanwhile, Stephen pursued his interest in the construction sector by studying Quantity Surveying and Construction Management at TUD (formerly Dublin Institute of Technology).

Today, BSG Design is the ‘go-to’ company for specialist joinery, employing 30 full-time staff and earning a number of awards along the way.

We continue to foster a culture of continuous improvements, researching innovative ways to optimise processes, enhance workplace safety, and increase overall productivity. This proactive approach leads to increased customer satisfaction, a positive work environment and ultimately, greater business success.

We take immense pride in our unique, high-quality work, handcrafting each project with meticulous attention to detail. Using only the finest materials and innovative processes, we create one-of-a-kind bespoke furniture that stands out in any space, whether it’s an office or a home.

  • Barry Goulding

    Founder and Managing Director

    Barry has overall responsibility for all the client’s needs from quoting, design approval, on site installation to invoicing. He directs the leadership and strategic planning for BSG Design. He is driven by attention to detail and creativity.

  • Stephen Goulding

    Founder and Director

    Stephen has overall responsibility for the workshop from human resources, suppliers, and machinery. He also leads the quality management system and health and safety for BSG Design. He is motivated by problem solving and collaboration for every project.
